Emma Watson gets into character on Little Women set and we feel cold just looking at it

Emma Watson has been rocking the period costume look on the set of Little Women, despite being surrounded by snow.

Once Halloween passes, you can catch us wrapping up in ridiculous amounts of layers.

However, that’s not an option for the cast of Little Women, who were spotted struggling to keep warm on their snow covered set in Harvard, Massachusetts.

We couldn’t tell you for certain, but we don’t think petticoats are the best for keeping the warm in.

Ladybird star Saoirse Ronan (Jo), The Falling’s Florence Pugh (Amy) and Sharp Objects actress Eliza Scanlen (Beth) will co-star alongside the former Harry Potter star.

Also joining the cast are the infallible Meryl Streep, who is set to play Aunt March, and heart-throb Timothée Chalamet as Laurie.

It’s been five months since the film announcement, and we’re still not over the incredible cast who will bring the festive tale to life.

And it turns out we’re not the only ones.

Speaking to Harry Styles in an interview for i-D Magazine, Timothée chatted about his admiration for the project and his co-stars.

‘Right now, I’m working on Little Women in Boston with Greta Gerwig, Saoirse Ronan and Emma Watson,’ he said.

‘And I just pinch myself that I get to be this fly on the wall for this legendary narrative.’

With Greta Gerwig, director of Ladybird, leading the project, it looks to be one of the best remakes of the story yet. And there have been A LOT of remakes.

Emma was a newer addition to the cast, replacing Emma Stone as the character of Jo back in August.

Quick-witted and fiery, Jo is a fan favourite and we reckon Emma is perfectly suited to play her.

Plus, she loves her books. Anyone else getting major Hermione vibes?

Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel has previously been adapted by the BBC and is a British Christmas staple.

Heidi Thomas, creator of Call The Midwife, led the touching period drama which aired on Boxing Day last year.

Luckily, we’ll get to sit back and watch the upcoming flick from the warmth of a cinema and leave the hard (cold) work to the professionals.

Emma Watson gave a lovely message of support to her former Harry Potter co-star Evanna Lynch during the Dancing With The Stars final.

Emma played brainbox Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films while Evanna starred as Luna Lovegood, first appearing in Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix.

In a reunion of sorts, Emma sent a video message to Evanna wishing her good luck in the final of the competition.

She said: ‘You are in the final. I am so proud of you. I don’t know where those dancing skills came from but you are unbelievable. We are so proud of you, we love you, we are rooting for you, kill it tonight.’

And she wasn’t the only Harry Potter alumni to send good vibes with actors Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, and Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley, among the other cast members to say good luck.

Little Women is on the way to us  (Picture: Twitter/ Getty)

Emma Watson is giving us a glimpse of the new movie version of the classic that is Little Women.

Even though it isn’t hitting cinemas until Christmas 2019, the Harry Potter star is feeling festive and letting us mere peasants follow her behind the scenes.

The Beauty and the Beast actress recently joined the cast of this remake of Louisa May Alcott’s novel as a replacement for Emma Stone’s Meg March character and, to celebrate, shared a cosy photo of the cast on social media.

Taking to Twitter she quoted the original book and wrote: ‘”I could never love anyone as I love my sisters” – Louisa May Alcott, @LittleWomen
‘From left: Meg March, Greta Gerwig (director), Jo March, Amy March, Beth March and Laurie (Theodore Laurence).’

Clearly getting into character, Emma listed everyone by their character’s names rather than their actual names.

In case you aren’t already up to scratch with your post-modern Little Women trivia we are here to help ….

Emma will be taking on the role of Meg March(Picture: Getty)

Starting from left, and going clockwise we have Emma, Greta Gerwig, three-time Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan as Jo March, Little Drummer Girl star Florence Pugh as Amy March, Sharp Objects’ Eliza Scanlen as Beth March and Call Me By Your Name’s Timothée Chalamet as Theodore Laurence aka Laurie.

Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel has previously been adapted by the BBC and is a British Christmas staple.

Heidi Thomas, the creator of Call The Midwife, led the touching period drama which aired on Boxing Day last year.

Emma has previously been spotted in her period drama costume as she filmed on set in Harvard, Massachusetts and it looked like a pretty chilly day from where we are sitting.

Luckily, we’ll get to sit back and watch the upcoming flick from the warmth of a cinema and leave the hard (cold) work to the professionals.

Little Women is scheduled to hit US cinemas on Christmas Day 2019 and then arrive in the UK a few weeks later on 17 January 2020.

Emma Watson ‘inspired’ by solidarity of Time’s Up as she reflects on gender equality one year on

Emma Watson has reflected on the progress of Time’s Up on its first anniversary, and admits she is ‘optimistic’ for a ‘fairer future’ regarding gender equality in the movie industry.

The Beauty and the Beast actress joined the likes of Eva Longoria, Natalie Portman and Reese Witherspoon to support the Time’s Up movement, which launched in January 2018, following the sexual misconduct allegations against movie studio boss Harvey Weinstein.

Fast forward a year later and the topics of gender equality and sexual harassment are a constant discussion and at the forefront of Hollywood.

Instagram Photo

Wearing a Time’s Up t-shirt in an Instagram photo, Emma, 28, said of the movement one year on: ‘Thank you to everyone who has been part of TIME’S UP over the past year.

‘From my sisters in the film industry to the activists and campaigners around the world who have supported us, I’ve been so inspired by the way people have reached out to each other, shared experiences and advice, and organised together as part of this movement for change.’

The Harry Potter star continued: ‘Gender equality can only become a reality if we harness the transformative power of solidarity across professions and across borders. There’s still a long way to go, but the achievements so far make me optimistic for a fairer future. 2018 was just the beginning.’

Shortly after the launch of Time’s Up, it was reported that Emma had donated over £1 million to the anti-harassment campaign.

In the past year, Weinstein has received five felony charges for sex crimes, including two counts of predatory sexual assault, one count of criminal sexual act in the first degree and one count each of first-degree rape and third-degree rape.

Former House of Cards actor, Kevin Spacey, has also faced accusations of indecent behaviour. The disgraced Oscar-winning actor is expected to be officially charged with indecent assault and battery on 7 January, regarding an incident at a Massachusetts bar in 2016 where he allegedly groped a young man.

Money raised by Time’s Up seeks to help fund women in the US who are targeted unfairly in the workplace. According to the BBC, the foundation has raised a staggering $22 million (£17 million) in donations.

We can’t stop looking at these pictures of stars chilling with their younger selves

This is pretty spectacular

We didn’t know we needed to see David Bowie hanging out with David Bowie until we saw it.

Dutch artist Ard Gelinck has mastered the art of Photoshop and has given us a collection of pictures showing celebrities chilling with their, usually very different, younger selves.

It’s a more artistic version of the 10 Year challenge that took over social media last month, as you get to see Michael Jackson embracing two previous versions of the King Of Pop.

What could have been creepy appears really sweet at times. While Beyonce looks like she hasn’t aged a day since Destiny’s Child – legends are immune to wrinkles apparently – it was adorable to see Ed Sheeran hanging around with baby Ed.

The series even made us nostalgic for the time Lady Gaga almost, always refused to leave her home without an extravagant wig or facepaint makeup.

We even chuckled to ourselves seeing a grown-up Adele cuddle up with a toothless Adele. There is a sentence we really didn’t think we would ever get to write!

The artist has created nearly 100 images in this series so we curated some of our favourites for you.

Emma Watson and Tom Felton have made our Harry Potter hearts happy, after reuniting for a good ol’ catch up and casual yet stunning photoshoot.

The actors, who shot to fame in the Harry Potter movies, may have been enemies in the wizarding world but IRL Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy are actually bezzies.

So much so, that Emma and Tom reunited with one another recently, with Emma proving how good a photographer her pal is.

A post shared by Emma Watson (@emmawatson) on

Sadly there was no blow by blow of their reunion or a snap of the pair together, but Emma did share a very cool picture of her chilling in her car that Tom had taken.

Posting it to her Instagram page for her 50million followers to see, Emma wrote: ‘Friends capture you best,’ and tagged Tom in her caption.

She’s sat in her jeep wearing a baseball cap backwards on her head and a printed top.

Of course, it was enough for fans to totally freak out and ship the ‘Dramione’ boat once more.

Yep, some fans are all for Hermione and Draco, instead of Ron, after J.K Rowling revealed the only reason Draco was mean to Hermione was because he actually had a crush on her.

One fan wrote: ‘Duuude. My frenzied little fan girl heart is beating wildly at the dramione implications … but my normal sized realistic adult heart is smiling warmly at this lasting friendship.’

Another said: ‘Ugh you guys are toooo much. my heart can’t take it anymooooore.’

One more chipped in: ‘Omg ily guys so much the Dramione that was buried in my heart after I finished reading the series for my twelfth time just started beating again.’

Emma is currently working on the film adaptation of Little Women. She plays Greta Gerwig in the movie that’s scheduled for release for Christmas 2019.

Since her Harry Potter days, Emma has starred in 2012 movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Beauty and the Beast live action remake as Belle.

Emma Watson was all smiles as she met with the G7 Advisory Council For Gender Equality, in Paris.

The Harry Potter actress headed to the meeting with a string of other famous faces, in a bid to set out a ‘legislative package and good practices’ for women.

And the 28-year-old – who is a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador – was joined at the gathering by Emmanuel Macron, President of France.

Emma was appointed an ambassador for UN Women way back in July, 2014, and said at the time: ‘Being asked to serve as UN Women’s Goodwill Ambassador is truly humbling.

‘The chance to make a real difference is not an opportunity that everyone is given and is one I have no intention of taking lightly.

‘Women’s rights are something so inextricably linked with who I am, so deeply personal and rooted in my life that I can’t imagine an opportunity more exciting I still have so much to learn.’

Basically, she is smashing it.

When Emma isn’t helping the world become a better place, she’s enjoying the mother of all Harry Potter reunions, catching up with Tom Felton.

And our hearts can’t take it.

Despite being on the opposite side for most of the film franchise, she proved it’s all good between herself and the Draco Malfoy actor, and all their on-screen drama is butterbeer under the bridge.

To prove this, she revealed the pair had a surprise meet-up recently, in which her former co-star happened to take the coolest picture of her ever.

Taking to Instagram, Em uploaded the snap – showing her relaxing in a jeep, wearing a backwards baseball cap because she’s cool like that – with her 50million followers.

‘Friends capture you best,’ the Little Women star captioned the shot, before tagging Tom.

Why don’t our friends take effortlessly cool, epic photos like this?

It looks like Emma Watson and Chord Overstreet are back on.

After six months of dating, fans started to speculate that it was over between the pair after she appeared to delete him on Instagram.

However they have just gone and put all of those rumours to bed, as the couple were spotted sharing a romantic kiss while out in Los Angeles.

Despite their break-up rumours, they appeared in high spirits as they enjoyed time off together from their busy schedules.

Chord could be seen wrapping his arms around his girl, while he held out a camera as she leant in for a passionate kiss.

The 28-year-old Harry Potter actress looked all loved up as she enjoyed a smooch in the sunshine with the former Glee star.

Once they’d got the right angle down, they quickly checked out their pictures to see if they’d got a good shot.

After their romantic display, they then were seen taking pictures of each other, showing off their casual, yet stylish looks.

Emma walked towards the camera dressed in an oversized t-shirt that was tucked into some black mom jeans.

A source told the publication: ‘Emma and Chord kept quiet about their relationship at first but they really hit it off.

‘They spent a lot of time together in Los Angeles and were photographed quite a bit just a couple of months ago.

The pair met at the end of last year after Emma’s two-year relationship with tech manager William Knight ended.

She revealed in an interview last year that she would never openly discuss her relationships.

Talking to Vanity Fair she said: ‘I’ve noticed, in Hollywood, who you’re dating gets tied up into your film promotion and becomes part of the performance and the circus.

‘I would hate anyone that I were with to feel like they were in any way part of a show or an act.’

Rupert Grint recalls ‘hardcore’ Harry Potter fans as franchise lives on

Seven years after the final movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, hit screens, Harry Potter fans – or rather, Potterheads – are still thriving, according to Rupert Grint.

The actor, who is eagerly awaiting the release of the second season of his series Snatch, opened up on how even to this day he’s still accosted on the street by ‘passionate’ fans who want a piece of Ron Weasley himself.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk while on the set of the Sony Crackle series in Spain, based on the film of the same name by Guy Ritchie, Rupert, 30, admitted he still isn’t able to go under the radar when out in public.

With co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson (Picture: WireImage)

‘[Harry Potter] fans are different in every country, but here they’re quite hardcore, they’re…passionate,’ he told us with a smirk.

‘They’re very emotional and it’s quite sweet. In London they just want a picture and then they’re gone but here [in Spain] it’s interesting.’

He said it’s easier to go under the radar while he stayed in Spain during filming, but he added of local fans: ‘They want a conversation and a bit of a chat. More of an interaction, which is quite nice.’

Grint has come a long way since his days as the lovable and floppy-haired Ron Weasley, compadre to Harry Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe, and wifey Hermione Granger, brought to life by Emma Watson.

In this crime-comedy tale, however, he plays aristocratic Charlie Cavendish alongside the likes of Luke Pasqualino and Dougray Scott, which is now taking on its second season.

SNATCH - SEASON 2 - GALLERY
Rupert at Charlie in Snatch (Picture: Sony Pictures Television)

When he meets Metro.co.uk, he’s sporting a three-piece suit and red, love-heart-shaped sunglasses borrowed from his sister as he sits in a slightly dilapidated Spanish villa – the characters are holed up in the pile as they attempt to capture ‘goons’ after fleeing to the Spanish island of Malaga with a whole bunch of money stolen back in London at the end of season one.

Opening up on his character, who brings the comedic chops to the forefront, the actor said: ‘Charlie has grown up quite a lot and he’s getting a thirst, a power-hunger thing, he wants to lead, he doesn’t want to be number two anymore.

‘He’s cut down on the recreational drugs. He’s not a natural gangster but there are a few crazy situations he gets himself into, and stunts.’

Like what?

‘Running, which I do consider a stunt. Especially in a three-piece suit.’

There were rumours Rupert based Charlie on Prince Harry, however he was quick to rebut the claim, saying his character isn’t anything like the Party Prince…anymore.

‘I don’t think I’d ever admit that [to Harry], I think he’s turned into something a bit different now,’ he said. ‘That was my initial inspiration but there is very little Prince Harry in Charlie now.’

Now the fresh 30-year-old might admit to a total lack of alcohol tolerance, but he’s replaced his partying days with a new appreciation of the entertainment industry, keen to try out new things in his career.

The guy serves as a producer in Snatch, and hints at more work behind the camera.

‘I think it’s an interesting perspective I’ve never had before,’ he added. ‘In this it’s been relaxed…it’s nice to have that opportunity to be involved more. And I’d love to do that more, definitely.’

Snatch season 2 premieres on AMC 9 October at 9pm.

JK Rowling is loving the Harry Potter theories right now, confirms another one

$

Everyone loves a Harry Potter theory (Picture: AP Photo/Warner Bros.Pictures)

If you have any Harry Potter theories, just start throwing them out at JK Rowling, because she is in the mood to confirm those that are correct.

After agreeing with a theory that Dumbledore was indeed Death after one feisty fan put two and two together in regards to the Tale of Three Brothers, she’s now wading into another long-held fan theory – an idea about Hermione Granger.

In The Goblet of Fire, the fourth book in the series, when Viktor Krum comes onto the scene, Rowling writes about how the guy is pronouncing the bookish Hermione’s name wrong – making a pretty obvious explanation of just how he is saying it incorrectly.

Vik says her name like ‘her-my-own’, when of course we now know it is pronounced ‘her-my-knee’. Well, NOW we know that.

One Twitter user had been pondering this long and hard and decided to hit JK up about it, and the author was more than happy to oblige in a confirmation.

They wrote: ‘Theory: @jk_rowling included that passage on how to pronounce Hermione’s name in Goblet of Fire just to school all of us who were saying HER-MY-OWN like Viktor Krum.’

Many others immediately jumped on board this theory with their whole being and shared their own versions of how they said Hermione’s name.

One said: ‘I used to call Hermione “Herm-a-jean” because there was another character in the book I read right before that with a hard-for-10y-me-to-pronounce name called Irmagean and I was lazy.’

Another added: ‘Hands up if this was you, too.

‘I’m embarrassed it took three and a half books to learn that pronunciation. Like many others, I had never seen the name Hermione before in my life. Definitely pronounced it HER-ME-OWN in my head for far too long (until @jk_rowling gave it to us).’

However, one admitted it was Oprah that taught them the correct way, as Oprah is oft full of wise and sage advice.

And Rowling noticed the hoo-haa, not giving too much away but confirming all the same this stellar theory with the simple message: ‘Theory correct.’

And, really, when it comes to the pronunciation of words, you have to admit Hermione would be pretty proud this one was cleared up nice and early.

It comes after Rupert Grint opened up to Metro.co.uk about how Harry Potter superfans were still super ‘passionate’ when they spot him on the street, over seven years after the last film was released.

The man who played Ron Weasley said: ‘[Harry Potter] fans are different in every country, but here they’re quite hardcore, they’re…passionate.

‘They’re very emotional and it’s quite sweet. In London they just want a picture and then they’re gone but here [in Spain] it’s interesting.’

He said it’s easier to go under the radar while he stayed in Spain during filming of latest show Snatch, but he added of local fans: ‘They want a conversation and a bit of a chat. More of an interaction, which is quite nice.’

Emma Watson praised for being LGBTQ+ ally by wearing ‘trans rights are human rights’ t-shirt

Emma Watson has stood up for transgender rights in a pretty badass new social media post.

The Harry Potter actress showed her support for the rights of all transgender people by wearing a t-shirt that we’re going to need ten of, stat.

Emma, 28, wore a white t-shirt reading: ‘Trans rights are human rights’ – and we couldn’t agree more.

The star flexed her biceps in the snap, which she shared to both Twitter and Instagram.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BpEVnWjhYE0/?hl=en&taken-by=emmawatson

Emma tagged Stonewall UK, Mermaids – the organisation supporting transgender young people – and non-profit organisations All About Trans and Gender Intelligence.

And people from within the trans community were touched by Emma’s show of LGBTQ+ allyship.

Journalist Paris Lees replied: ‘Thank you for speaking up, so many families struggling at the moment don’t have a voice. We love you!’, while Jack Monroe tweeted: ‘THANKYOU X.’

Others piled in with thank you messages, while one follower wrote: ‘Thank you for doing this. It means a lot to our community as so few people are speaking up for us as we are persecuted.’

Emma’s post comes the day before the consultation for the government’s reform of the Gender Recognition Act 2004 (GRA) will close.

This review presents the opportunity to introduce a self-identification system by which trans people would be able to legally change their gender, an approach implemented in countries like Belgium, Norway and Denmark.

Emma has frequently and publicly supported LGBTQ+ rights, recently writing about LGBT History Month on Instagram.

The Beauty and The Beast star wrote: ‘It’s ?️‍? LGBT History Month in the USA. I have learned so much about feminism and anti-racism through the work of LGBTQIA+ activists. Thank you Sylvia Rivera, Audre Lorde and Marsha P. Johnson!! Sending love to all those I love and wider LGBTQIA+ communities around the world.’

Emma is also a prominent women’s rights campaigner, having spearheaded the HeForShe campaign for feminism.

Speaking at the UN in 2014, she said: ‘If we stop defining each other by what we are not and start defining ourselves by what we are — we can all be freer and this is what HeForShe is about. It’s about freedom.’

Sorry, this video isn't available any more.

Bonnie said in her message: ‘Bonnie here your fellow Hogwarts alumni. Wishing you all the best tonight Evanna and Keo.’

Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom, George Weasley actor James Phelps and Katie Leung, who played Cho Chang, also sent messages of support.

The Beauty and the Beast actress recently joined the cast of this remake of Louisa May Alcott’s novel as a replacement for Emma Stone’s Meg March character and, to celebrate, shared a cosy photo of the cast on social media.

https://twitter.com/EmmaWatson/status/1073266457058967554/photo/1

Taking to Twitter she quoted the original book and wrote: ‘”I could never love anyone as I love my sisters” – Louisa May Alcott, @LittleWomen
‘From left: Meg March, Greta Gerwig (director), Jo March, Amy March, Beth March and Laurie (Theodore Laurence).’

Clearly getting into character, Emma listed everyone by their character’s names rather than their actual names.

In case you aren’t already up to scratch with your post-modern Little Women trivia we are here to help ….

Fast forward a year later and the topics of gender equality and sexual harassment are a constant discussion and at the forefront of Hollywood.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BsPGvXUnKXG/

Emma Watson and Tom Felton have a Harry Potter reunion and he takes the coolest photo of her

So much so, that Emma and Tom reunited with one another recently, with Emma proving how good a photographer her pal is.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt_-ltdAb6j/

Emma and Tom have stayed good pals since their Harry Potter days (Picture: Getty Images)

She was also spotted shaking hands with his wife, Brigitte, who looked thrilled to be meeting the actress.

Maybe she’s a Hermione fan?

Emma was appointed an ambassador for UN Women way back in July, 2014, and said at the time: ‘Being asked to serve as UN Women’s Goodwill Ambassador is truly humbling.

‘The chance to make a real difference is not an opportunity that everyone is given and is one I have no intention of taking lightly.

‘Women’s rights are something so inextricably linked with who I am, so deeply personal and rooted in my life that I can’t imagine an opportunity more exciting I still have so much to learn.’

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt_-ltdAb6j/

Emma Watson is being eyed up for a part in Marvel’s standalone Black Widow film.

The Harry Potter star is being considered for a major role in the superhero movie which is set to focus on Scarlett Johansson as she reprises her role as Shield spy Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow.

According to website That Hashtag Show, 28-year-old Emma is wanted for an undisclosed role in the adventure about the first female Avenger, and the second Marvel film that is not focused on a man, after Captain Marvel.

Film bosses are being very tight-lipped about the film but the Beauty And The Beats star’s potential part is being been described as a ‘kick-ass female Bond’, and Marvel is said to be looking for an actress to be able to cope with a physically demanding role who also ‘feels similar’ to 34-year-old Scarlett.

Emma is said to be considered for a co-lead role (Picture: Getty Images)

Alice Englert and Dar Zuzovsky are said to have auditioned for the lead role, with Florence Pugh being listed as a contender as well.

Black Widow is set to start production in June, according to the reports, and will continue to document Scarlett’s character, who was first introduced into the MCU in 2010 in Iron Man 2.

The 2020 film has already had tongues wagging, as Marvel had previously been reported to be toying with the option of making future projects in Phase 4 rated-R, with Black Widow potentially kickstarting the trend.

Scarlett Johansson will be reprising her role for the solo movie  (Picture: Rex Features)

Teasing the possibility, The Hashtag Show’s Charles Murphy tweeted: ‘When I first heard they were developing the Black Widow film, I also heard they were discussing whether or not to make it Marvel Studios first R-rated film.

‘I’m not saying it will be for sure (no way to know what they will settle on at this point), but they have recently said that R-rated MCU films ARE a possibility, so it is a possibility. So if BW ends up R-rated don’t be shocked. [sic]’

It would mean that millions of young children who love the superheroine wouldn’t be able to watch the movie in cinemas.

While it would be a first for Marvel, many other superhero movies have received an R-rating, including Deadpool 2, while the upcoming Suicide Squad spin-off Birds Of Prey and Joker movies are also expected to receive the adult certificate.

Scarlett has reportedly landed a $15 million (£11.6 million) pay day for her standalone movie, which is higher than Robert Downey Jr’s for his first stint as Iron Man.

Sweet baby Shawn Mendes is still just really in love with Emma Watson

Someone’s got a crush (Picture: Getty Images)

Shawn Mendes still has the hots for Emma Watson and he’s not afraid to talk about it.

The singer, who recently steamed things up with a newly-single Camila Cabello, was quizzed by fans this week about who had his heart.

And, sorry to say, Harry Potter star Emma is still his number one gal.

Can’t say we blame him, really. Hermione was and will always be an absolute boss.

When quizzed by his fans on the star he fancies most this week, Shawn took a second to answer before his true heart’s desire was showing.

In a video uploaded by a fan watching, Shawn sat on a transport crate as he said: ‘I really just do love Emma Watson still and I’d tell her that.

‘When I met her I was really embarrassed’.

The video trailed off there and we really need to know what he did that was so embarrassing.

Now this love affair isn’t a new thing, for years he’s been harbouring a fondness for the actress and it’s been a public thing.

Back in 2016 he tweeted the star: ‘Okay. Here it is. I love you’.

Bold, Mr Mendes.

Last year he took his obsession with Harry Potter to new levels during his appearance on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.

Speaking about his love for the tale of ‘the boy who lived’ Shawn said – while dressed as a wizard, no less: ‘I have a whole book I wrote all the spells in and stuff.’

Asked about why Harry Potter, he added: ‘Just the magic, you know. The wands and the little weird candies that make you turn into a lion and stuff.

‘I met Emma Watson once. And that was one of the first times I was really starstruck. I was definitely sweating a bit, but I think I played it cool.’

We’re getting the feeling you really didn’t play it cool, buddy.
