With the news that Doctor Who will have a new boss in 2018, Broadchurch’s Chris Chibnall, it is expected that current Time Lord Peter Capaldi will also step down, meaning a new Doctor.

By that time, Capaldi will have had three full series as the rogue Gallifreyan – which has become the norm in recent years. But who should follow?

At the moment, Harry Potter star Emma Watson is being touted as Capaldi’s replacement for TARDIS driver, but should the former Hermione be the new Doctor?

Yes – and here’s why!

Time for a girl!

For over 50 years, Doctor Who has been a man.… Read the full story

This might just be the most striking picture of actress Emma Watson we’ve seen in quite some time.

Except it’s not quite what it seems.

Because while it may look like a crystal-clear photograph of the Harry Potter actress, it’s not actually a photo at all – but a hyper-realistic painting.

Yes folks. Someone actually painted this picture. And we can’t quite get over how realistic it looks.

The portrait in question comes courtesy of artist and student Nehaal Gonsalves, who shared the results of his labours on his Facebook page.

‘The last time I did a painting of her I felt like too much attention was being drawn to the clothing rather than the person, so I made an attempt to make this as real as possible, because after all she is perfection,’ he explained.

‘First piece of the year, my mind is numb from what a challenge it was to detail this beautiful beast.’

He also shared a video (above) of… Read the full story

Emma Watson has revealed that she is taking a year off from acting… to read one book every week.

If only we all had that luxury!

‘I’m taking a year away from acting to focus on two things, really; my own personal development is one,’ the former Harry Potter star who is thought to be worth around £35 million, admitted to Bell Hooks, an American author.

‘I know that you read a book a day. My own personal task is to read a book a week, and also to read a book a month as part of my book club. I’m doing a huge amount of reading and study just on my… Read the full story

Emma Watson has admitted that terms such as ‘difficult’, ‘diva’ and ‘feminazi’ do not affect her so all the internet trolls can just keep throwing around their meaningless words.

Sexism and misogyny is, disappointingly, still incredibly rife in the world of Hollywood, but Emma Watson is speaking up to help stamp it out.

The talented 25-year-old actress has shared her own shocking stories of being groped, followed, and being left feeling ‘afraid’ during her still young career.

The star says it is important to speak out about such objectification and intimidation.

‘I’ve had my arse slapped as I’ve left a room. I’ve felt scared walking home,’ the Harry Potter star explains.

Emma Watson shows off her skills of beatboxing before going bright red with embarrassment in this new video.

The Harry Potter star covers her mouth as a ‘spit guard’ and provides a beat for US actor Lin-Manuel Miranda – who raps, on her suggestion, about gender equality.

After being introduced by Lin as a great beatboxer, a fearful Emma says ‘He’s lying.’

Denying she’s learnt any skills from her film co-stars, the 25-year-old adds: ‘English school kids, that’s what we do all the time, we just beatbox.’

Awkwardness aside, the embarrassed star gets stuck in anyway.

Harry Potter’s Emma Watson sure knows her Hogwarts houses upside down, back to front.

This new clip proves Hermione Granger’s alter-ego is clued-up on all the subtle details of what makes someone a member of Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin or Gryffindor.

She’s demonstrated this by outlining which characters in hit Broadway show Hamilton: The Musical would go in which house, during an interview with the show’s star and writer Lin-Manuel Miranda.

And when she learns Daniel Radcliffe picked a different house for Lin-Manuel’s character, she says: ‘Why though? But why? I’m gonna have to call him about this.’

That’s dedication.

And while Emma’s not the first celebrity to be caught off-guard by an ill-timed call (remember this incident with Ryan Gosling on Breakfast?), she may well be the first who’s revealed to the nation that she has a Tina Turner ringtone.

Sadly, Emma’s not in a yellow ballgown and Dan isn’t in a blue tux with a mane but they are both in character as far as their voices are concerned, and that’s pretty exciting in itself.

The 47-second YouTube clip gives fans a further insight into the film, showing Dan and Emma sat at tables during a cast reading discussing whether the book the Beast is reading is an adventure, as he describes it, or a romance, as Belle believes it to be.
