Seth Rogen has set the record straight about claims Emma Watson ‘stormed off’ the set of their 2013 film, This Is The End.
The hit comedy saw Seth and the likes of James Franco and Jonah Hill play themselves enjoying a Hollywood party when the apocalypse begins.
Emma Watson was among the famous names who made a cameo in the film, including the likes of Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, and Kevin Hart.
During production, a Tumblr user who claimed to be an extra on the film made the allegation that the Harry Potter actress walked off the set due to her discomfort over a scene towards the end of the movie.
The actress allegedly reacted to a scene which featured Danny McBride embracing cannibalism, while Channing Tatum was playing his gimp mask-clad prisoner on a leash.
During a new profile with British GQ, Seth cleared up the rumor as he stated: ‘I mean, I don’t look back on that and think, “How dare she do that?” You know?
‘I think sometimes when you read something, when it comes to life it doesn’t seem to be what you thought it was.’
He continued: ‘It was not some terrible ending to our relationship. She came back the next day to say goodbye. She helped promote the film. No hard feelings and I couldn’t be happier with how the film turned out in the end.’
In fact, Seth thinks Emma’s reaction to the scene – which ended up being tamed down for the final cut – was warranted.
He told the publication: ‘She was probably right. It was probably funnier the way we ended up doing it.’
